Multiplexers
The purpose of a multiplexer is to collect the picture from a number of cameras on site and to assemble them for observation/recording purposes.

Multiplexers come in three different types:

• Simplexer
• Multiplexer
• Duplexer

Manufacturer specifications should be checked to ensure that the product features will meet the customer's requirements.

The Duplexer is the most expensive of the three types. Its main advantage is the speed with which various cameras can be checked simultaneously on play back. Again there is a wide range of multiplexers available on the market to suit different applications for both monochrome and colour.
