Recording Methods/Recorders

Recorders
Again there is a large range of recording methods available. The most commonly used at present time is the Video Recorder tape machine.

Most applications today use a 24-hour capture method. The standard 24 hour time lapse recorder captures approximately three picture per second while the 24 hour real time recorder records almost seventeen pictures every second, i.e. five times more pictures than the equivalent time lapse version.

Tape recording machines provide a lower degree of definition than the original picture quality when played back. They are acceptable in the courts and are continuing to convict criminals daily. A new generation of digital recorders will hopefully be available in the near future.

Computers are used at the present time to capture digital data. These provide a much higher quality picture but have their limitations also.
