What is Hardwire

Hardwire Systems

Hardwire Systems have cables connecting the control panel to various devices around the premises. This is the main disadvantage in a hardwire system, however quality workmanship can conceal the cable runs.

The same type of Detection Devices are used in both Wireless and Hardwire Systems, however there is a greater variety of detectors available for Hardwire Systems.

Hardwire detectors are powered via the ESB supply from the control equipment, which also incorporates standby battery facilities, the result is almost maintenance free.

Since all the components are linked by cable, the control panel is constantly monitoring the entire system. External radio signals do not interfere or compromise the overall security of the system.
